Rock Ambassadors Support Group Congratulates Gov. Peter Mbah on His Court Victory on NYSC Certificate Forgery Allegations

 


The Rock Ambassadors Support Group, led by Director General Surveyor Igwe Adinde Chibueze, is jubilant following a significant legal victory for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State. The celebration within the group resonates with the widespread sentiment that this legal triumph is a reaffirmation of the principles of justice and fairness.


Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah secured a resounding victory in his legal battle against the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The Federal High Court in Abuja issued a decisive judgment in favor of Governor Mbah, confirming his rightful possession of an NYSC certificate.


Director General Igwe Adinde Chibueze expressed his joy, saying, "On this joyous occasion, I, Igwe Adinde Chibueze, on behalf of the Rock Ambassadors Support Group, extend our warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. Today, we celebrate not only a significant legal victory for our dear Governor but also a resounding triumph for the principles of justice, integrity, and unwavering dedication."


He continued, "Our collective relentless commitment to Governor Mbah's cause has borne fruit, reaffirming our faith in democratic institutions that uphold justice and the rights of every citizen."


Justice Inyang Ekwo, presiding over the case, delivered a powerful judgment on November 6, 2023. The court's decision was based on compelling evidence that unequivocally established Governor Mbah's legitimate participation in the NYSC program. This evidence included the NYSC certificate of completion submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the last governorship election.


Justice Ekwo did not hold back in condemning the NYSC's claims of not issuing the certificate. The court found the NYSC's handling of the case negligent and careless, particularly their inability to produce essential files containing information about Governor Mbah's participation.


As a result, the Federal High Court issued a restraining order against the NYSC, preventing further denials of Governor Mbah's possession of the NYSC certificate. The court also ordered the NYSC to pay a substantial sum of N5 million in damages to Governor Mbah. This judgment marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing dispute, emphasizing the importance of upholding the integrity of the National Youth Service Corps and safeguarding the rights of its program graduates.
