Enugu: Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme Continues to Demonstrate Compassion in the Lives of Enugu Citizens


In his resolute dedication to addressing the healthcare needs of Enugu State residents, the former Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, once again showcased his commitment through the Humanitarian Healthcare Initiative known as 'the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme.'

The 8th batch of free surgical interventions in January 2024, held at Chief Julius Ajogwu Memorial Hospital Edem Road, Nsukka, from January 21 to January 22, underscores Ugwuanyi's ongoing efforts to make quality healthcare accessible. This initiative, focusing on Uterine Fibroid, saved lives and eased financial burdens, fostering a healthier Enugu community.

The transformative impact of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme echoes through testimonials from beneficiaries of the January 2024 8th batch. Funded by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the program has become a beacon of hope, providing crucial health interventions and alleviating financial constraints.

In a collection of testimonials, individuals like Mrs. Obioma Ezugwu, Ogbu Nnenna, Mr. Osita Igwu, Ajogwu Chukwudi, and Nnadi Edith Chimuanya express gratitude for the life-changing interventions by the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme. Mrs. Obioma Ezugwu, after a myomectomy for uterine fibroids, expresses profound gratitude to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
