Dr Aniji's Burial Now holds on 18th October 2024


Public Notice!

The general public is hereby notified of a change in the burial date of an illustrious son of Enugu State, Dr. Aniji.

Following a meeting between the Umukoloma Development Union (UDU) Executive Members, led by Chief Mike Ani (Chairman, UDU), Umukoloma Elders Council (UEC) members, and the late Dr. Aniji's immediate family, held on Sunday, 22nd September 2024, it was agreed that the burial date will now be shifted from the previously announced 27th of September 2024 to the 18th of October 2024.

New Burial Date: 18th October 2024

This decision was taken to allow the family, in-laws, and the entire leadership of the Umukoloma community to organize a befitting burial for the late Dr. Aniji. The shift also provides an opportunity for his loved ones to celebrate his life properly, a privilege they have not been able to fully exercise since his passing.

The agreement was reached during the meeting at the Aniji family compound, where Chief Mike Ani and Chief Hon. Charles Ani (Chairman, Umukoloma Elders Council, and Life Chairman, Umukoloma Community's Power of Attorney) led the discussions on behalf of the community and family.

Dr. Aniji was a highly respected academic, renowned for his contributions to education and research in Nigeria. Born in Affa, Udi LGA, Enugu State, he grew up with a strong passion for learning, which led him to pursue higher education at both national and international institutions. He earned his doctorate in [Field of Study], establishing himself as a leader in his field.

Dr. Aniji was a lecturer at several prestigious universities and was known for his dedication to nurturing young minds. His academic works, which include numerous publications in both local and international journals, reflect his commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and the development of society.

Beyond his academic accomplishments, Dr. Aniji was also deeply involved in his community. He played a key role in the development of Umukoloma and was an advocate for education and youth empowerment in the region. His wisdom and leadership earned him the respect and admiration of many.

Dr. Aniji's legacy is not only seen in his academic contributions but also in the lives of the many students and young professionals he mentored throughout his career. His passing is a great loss to his family, his community, and the academic world at large.
