BREAKING NEWS !! Simon Ekpa Arrested!!

Finnish-Nigerian separatist agitator Simon Ekpa, alongside four others, has been arrested in Finland over alleged terror-related activities. Ekpa, who has declared himself the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, was taken into custody by the district court of Päijät-Häme on suspicions of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent.

A report from Finland revealed that the Central Criminal Police had apprehended the five individuals, stating that the primary suspect, Ekpa, is accused of using his platform to incite criminal activities with terrorist implications. The authorities further disclosed that four additional suspects were arrested for allegedly financing the suspected activities.

The Central Criminal Police explained that the detention of the suspects is linked to a preliminary investigation into activities that have resulted in violence against civilians and authorities in South-Eastern Nigeria. Crime Commissioner Otto Hiltunen, heading the investigation, noted that Ekpa allegedly carried out these activities through his social media channels, effectively promoting violence and other crimes.

Authorities stated that all five suspects were apprehended earlier in the week, with claims related to the case being addressed in court on November 21, 2024. The investigation has reportedly involved international collaboration, signaling the global significance of the case.

According to the Finnish police, Ekpa, a Finnish citizen of Nigerian descent born in the 1980s, has been implicated in activities that have had severe consequences in Nigeria. His actions and influence have reportedly extended beyond Finland, underscoring the complex nature of transnational terrorism and incitement.

The arrests highlight ongoing efforts by international authorities to clamp down on activities perceived as threats to peace and security. The case also underscores the significance of collaborative international law enforcement in addressing such challenges.
