ENUGU: Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) Demands Urgent Action on Continued Isi-Uzo Killings

 

The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) Enugu State Chapter has called on the government and security agencies to take immediate action against the ongoing killings and insecurity in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area. Describing the situation as intolerable, YAN urged stakeholders to act swiftly to restore peace and protect innocent lives.


"Clarion Call to the Government, Security Agencies and all Stakeholders, on the continues killings in Isi Uzo LGA.

It's so bad and unbelievable that there's not yet a concrete solution to the security challenges and killings that have seriously penetrated Isi Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.

This unprovoked and recurrent violence against innocent citizens, of the people of that area is an affront to humanity and has become an intolerable situation that must be addressed urgently. 

The people of Isi-Uzo have been living in fear, and this cycle of violence should come to an immediate end. 

It is a sad reflection of the state of insecurity within our borders, and it calls for collective action from all concerned stakeholders.

The members of Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) Enugu State Chapter call on the Federal Government, the State Government, Local Government, the Security Agencies, the Vigilantes, and traditional rulers to rise to the aid of Ndi Isi-Uzo. It is time for meaningful and dedicated individuals to join forces and bring an end to these senseless killings and evil acts.

We urge the government and security agencies to take decisive action to ensure the safety and well-being of every citizen and Youths of Isi-Uzo . There should be no room for complacency or neglect. The people of Isi-Uzo deserve to live in peace, free from fear and violence.

We demand justice, protection, and a renewed commitment to safeguarding the lives of all in Isi-Uzo.

Calling the attention of all concerned, the Enugu State Ambassador Chidubem Ugwueze JP speaking on behalf of the members of Youth Assembly in the State, Local Government and Wards in the State, reminds the Government that, the primary objective of every government is to protect and defend the lives and properties of her citizen. 

Sadly, the ugly incident in isi-uzo is a big borden and disaster to the future of our Youths in isi-uzo and Enugu State at large.

"It's barbaric as it's not just stopping the farmers there from accessing their farmlands but killings and raping."

"This message is a call for unity and urgent action. We must come together to defend the rights of the vulnerable, and restore peace and security to our communities for the sake of our  parents, children, all residents of Isi-Uzo and our dear state".

[VIDEO] Woman Miraculously Rescued from Yahoo-Plus Ritualist in Abuja Hotel

In a chilling incident that occurred on Wednesday, September 19, 2024, a woman's life was saved after her desperate cries for help exposed an alleged ritual attempt in an Abuja hotel. The scene unfolded at Top View Hotel, Wuse Zone 5, where hotel staff rushed to rescue the woman from a harrowing ordeal. According to witnesses, the woman's screams were heard from one of the hotel rooms, prompting hotel staff to act swiftly. When they entered the room, they found the woman completely naked, her hands and legs bound with sellotape, which also encircled her neck.
