In the aftermath of the Supreme Court's decisive dismissal of the Labour Party's appeal challenging the legitimacy of Governor Peter Mbah's election, Reverend Amb Edeh, the distinguished Christian leader and Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), issued an official statement on Saturday, extending warm felicitations to Gov. Peter Mbah.

Rev. Edeh's congratulatory message resonated with a profound sense of love and passion for the peace and harmony of the people of Enugu State. Notably, he commended Governor Mbah for his commendable performance within a short period in office.

In a compelling call for unity, Rev. Edeh urged Governor Mbah to collaborate with opposition groups willing to join hands for the betterment of Enugu State. He appealed to all political factions to sheathe their swords and embrace a collective pursuit of peace, emphasizing that the legal battles have concluded, marking a pivotal moment to unite and propel Enugu State forward.

The clergyman underscored the significance of forgiveness and reconciliation, stating, "The key to living at peace with all men is in our ability to live in forgiveness with others." Rev. Edeh emphasized the need for unity and love, asserting that without love, no one will see progress. He cautioned against the growth of bitterness, urging all citizens to ensure that no bitter roots take hold and cause trouble, emphasizing the importance of grace and avoiding defilement.
