OGALLA/ABBA IGBO-EZE NORTH 2024 CAMPAIGN: AN EPITOME OF TOLERANCE AND MATURITY



Encomiums has been poured on the campaign train of the People's Democratic Party, PDP candidate for the Enugu state council election Engr. Ogalla Uche Micheal. In semblance with his tranquil,  quiet and serene mien, the campaign train has been adjudged the most peaceful devoid of any swipe on the opposition but has been issue based with his transformation mantra, the campaign train  like a colossus has traversed the nooks and crannies of the entire Igbo-Eze North,  the NUT, religious organizations, recently on the 14th of September to be precise,  the amiable PDP candidate had a one on one with the Igbo-Eze North youths, last Sunday with his deputy Dr. Aba Joe and the Igbo-Eze North PDP chairman Dr. Solomon Ogili were all at St. Paul's Catholic Parish Umuopu soliciting and canvassing for support and votes, earlier in the beginning of the campaign,the traditional rulers of  Igbo-Eze North has given their unalloyed support. In separate encounters, the former chairman of Enugu state council of traditional rulers HRM Igwe S. O. Itodo the Ezeoha of Essodo ancient Kingdom and the chairman of Igbo-Eze North council of traditional rulers HRH Igwe Cyril Ayogu Ogburuugbowu of Umuopu Kingdom and the entire Igbo-Eze North council has blessed and prayed for Ogalla/Abba transformation team.


This political maturity and tolerance by the PDP train is a scarce commodity and a far cry on the side of LP opponents. The LP in their usual characteristic aggressive approach has deviated from bringing their blueprint to table before the people but chose to pour opprobrium, contempt, blackmail, cast aspersions and instigate violence in the polity.


 Violence they say, is a sign of weakness of ideas or else why would a faction of political party choose such ignoble role instead of finding solutions to the existential challenges facing them. No wonder the LP leaders in Igbo-Eze North distanced themselves from the sham and charade going on in the name of campaign. Except one notorious harbinger of hard lucks to politicians the LP campaign train in Igbo-Eze North are made up of people reminiscent of school prefects. They have thrown caution into the air with tirades of inciting, inflammatory statements and unguarded utterances,  apparently it is not crystal clear to them that the old order is long gone with the disruptive Leadership of the state government and the transformation agenda of Ogalla/Abba team, the era of running tyre on the street has no place in Igbo-Eze North LGA. 


No gain saying the fact that they are overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd that has been receiving the PDP campaign train at different wards, it has been an unprecedented and massive support from people of all walks of life. The peaceful posture of the PDP is laudable, it is not advisable to engage a man that will lose nothing in a duel, the honorable action to take is to to maintain a safe distance from such groups, just as you would avoid any potentially uncomfortable situation.

Police Clears Air on Viral Video, Urges Public to Remain Calm

The Imo State Police Command has issued an official statement to clarify the misinformation circulating in a viral video that has sparked concern among residents. The video, which shows vehicles set ablaze by individuals allegedly affiliated with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) while enforcing an unlawful sit-at-home order, is being recirculated across social media platforms.
