DPO Slumps, Dies in Office

 


The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ijanikin Police Station, Lagos State Police Command, CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, has tragically passed away. The officer reportedly slumped while in his office on Thursday night and died before he could be taken to a hospital.

The news of CSP Olugbenga’s sudden death has left the officers attached to Ijanikin Police Station in a state of mourning. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a police officer from the division confirmed the development, noting that the officer’s body had been moved to a mortuary.

“He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. But sadly, we lost him,” the officer disclosed.

As of the time of this report, the Lagos State Police Command has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
