Enugu North Youth Assembly Congratulates Newly Elected ALGON Chairmen, Commends Governor Mbah for Democratic Support

 

The Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, has received a congratulatory message from the Enugu North Youth General Assembly, Igbo-Nsukka, following the successful conclusion of the Enugu State Local Government Elections held on 21st September 2024.

In a message signed by the Director General of the Assembly, Sir Simon Martins Okechukwu, the youth organization expressed their heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected Chairmen of various Local Government Areas in the state. The letter highlighted the significance of their victories in the elections and acknowledged the leadership of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the support of the people during the election process.

Sir Simon, speaking on behalf of the Enugu North Youth General Assembly, commended the chairmen for their achievements and praised the democratic processes upheld by the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, who provided a level playing field during the election. The letter reads:

"I write with the mandate of Enugu North Youth General Assembly, Igbo-Nsukka, as the Director General to congratulate you on your resounding victory in the just conducted Enugu State Local Government Elections held on 21st September, 2024, and your subsequent swearing in as the Chairman of your various Local Government Areas by His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. This has once again brought us to see the unwavering commitment of our great Party (PDP) as reciprocated by our people."

The letter also extended gratitude to Governor Mbah for his role in ensuring a fair and transparent election process. The Director General emphasized the Governor's unflinching support for democracy, which further solidified the outcomes of the elections.

The message concluded with warm wishes for the chairmen, calling on divine guidance to lead their people effectively:

"Congratulations once again, may the Almighty God give you the wisdom and strength to lead our people to the best of your knowledge."

The election and swearing-in of the Local Government Chairmen marks a significant step in grassroots governance in Enugu State, and the congratulatory message from the youth body reflects the optimism and support from various stakeholders in the state's democratic framework.
