JUST IN: Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointment

  

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Alfred Agaba Abah as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Civil Service Matters. This significant appointment, announced on October 9, 2024, marks the creation of a new role within the Nigerian Civil Service, aimed at furthering reform efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sector.

Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), lauded the decision, describing Abah as an exemplary choice for the position. She noted that his appointment is a major milestone in the ongoing transformation of the Nigerian Civil Service, a move that demonstrates the administration’s commitment to driving reforms and improving public service delivery.

Abah, a retired Director of the Federal Civil Service, brings over 30 years of dedicated public service experience, with a proven track record of implementing reforms and fostering organizational excellence. His wealth of expertise is expected to be instrumental in advancing the government's reform agenda.

In a statement issued by Eno Olotu, Head of Information and Public Relations of the HoSF, Walson-Jack emphasized Abah’s deep expertise and reputation for integrity. "With his extensive experience, we are confident that he will help drive the necessary reforms to elevate the standards of public service in Nigeria," she said.

Under President Tinubu’s leadership, the Nigerian Civil Service has seen transformative changes that have bolstered public confidence in the government’s commitment to good governance and public service excellence.
