SAD! 17-Year-Old Girl Killed by Suspected Ritualists.....

A tragic incident has unfolded in Omasi village, Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State, where a 17-year-old girl, identified as Chinasa Adigwe from Umueje village, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Her body was discovered in a bush with indications of foul play, sparking concerns over the possible involvement of ritualists.

The spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the heartbreaking event on Monday, October 7, 2024. According to the police report, the girl’s body was found on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at around 4:25 pm. The circumstances surrounding her death have prompted an immediate police investigation.

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. He expressed his deepest condolences to the victim’s family, friends, and the community at large, assuring that every effort will be made to bring those responsible to justice.

“The body has been recovered and deposited in a morgue, and investigations are currently ongoing to ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are apprehended and prosecuted,” the police statement read.

This incident has left the community in shock, and local authorities are urging anyone with information to assist the police in their investigation. The police have reassured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order while addressing any security concerns related to the case.
