SECURITY MATTERS: Nkanu West LG Council Chairman Reads Riot Act For Neighborhood Watch Group ...Charges Them To Be Proactive, Alert And Alive To The Security Of Their Areas.


The Chairman, Nkanu West LG, Hon.John Ogbodo today called on Nkanu West LG Neighborhood Watch Group in the council area to always be on alert and alive to their duties of securing the lives and properties within their areas of concern.


The Chief Security Officer stated this during an interactive meeting with all the Neighborhoods Watch Group at the council headquarters, Agbani.


Hon. Ogbodo charged them to take their work seriously noting that there is security challenges in the country and so there is need for all concerned to intensify efforts to ensure water tight security in the area.


The Chairman, commended the group for their commitment, dedication and sacrifices so far to ensure that crimes are  reduced while advising them to always partner with the Police for better synergy.


He encouraged the group to put more efforts in ensuring a crime free society and to discharge their duties with every professionalism it deserves.


He promised to partner with them to known their needs, challenges and to assist them for optimal performance.


Earlier in his remarks, the coordinator, Nkanu West LG Neighborhood Watch, Mr. Chibuzo Ukwu said that the group would continue to do their best in securing lives of citizens in the area and ensure a crime free society.


Also speaking, the Chief Security Officer, Nkanu West LG, Hon. Chief Nwobodo Agbo Ozoemena said that the security architecture of the area will be reorganized for improved performance while advising security officer and men of the group to ensure professionalism in all their dealings.


Present at the meeting were officers and men of the group from all the 14 wards of the local government.
