A Nigerian man, Henry, has openly declared his intention to cheat on his wife and warned that if she retaliates, he will “show her that he hails from Nsukka.” This statement comes in light of a long-held tradition in Nsukka, Enugu State, where a married woman caught cheating is believed to be struck with madness instantly.

The comment was made in response to a post by Adaeze, who criticized the infidelity of Nsukka men. She remarked that many Nsukka women silently endure such behavior because they are financially dependent on their husbands, and don't want to lose the shelter and support they receive.

This bold statement has stirred controversy, as the practice of infidelity and the cultural belief about punishment in Nsukka have long been subjects of debate.
