Appeal to Help Reach Out to The Family of One of the Survivors of Ugwu-Onyeama Tanker Explosion

 

The family of a woman who survived the devastating fuel tanker explosion along the Ugwu Onyeama, 9th Mile area, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, is yet to reach out for identification. The explosion caused widespread destruction and claimed many lives, but fortunately, she is one of the lucky survivors.

The woman, identified as Onyechi Helen from Ishiogu in Ohum in Udi Local Government Area, Enugu State is currently receiving medical care at the Accident and Emergency Department of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu. Authorities are urgently seeking assistance in locating her family members, as they have not yet been able to reach out.

Her family is urged to contact the hospital.

The video, which shows vehicles set ablaze by individuals allegedly affiliated with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) while enforcing an unlawful sit-at-home order, is being recirculated across social media platforms.
