Breaking! Hoodlums Beat Female NSCDC Official to Coma
Some hoodlums have allegedly beaten a yet-to-be-identified female officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) into a coma in Kwara State.
The incident reportedly occurred during the turbaning of a newly appointed traditional title holder in Ilorin. Eyewitnesses claimed the hoodlums attacked the female officer, a mother of one, accusing her of preventing them from collecting money from a former House of Representatives member.
The victim was beaten to the point of unconsciousness, with swollen hands and face. She later regained consciousness at the hospital where she was taken for treatment. One witness mentioned that a colleague of the victim tried to fire ammunition, but another officer stopped them because of the sensitive location—the Emir’s palace in Ilorin.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the NSCDC, Ayoola Michael, described the incident as a "minor accident." He explained that the victim had fallen while a vehicle she was in was already in motion, and she had mistakenly missed her step during the altercation between the hoodlums and the former House of Representatives member.
