Breaking! War Looms As Trump Announces Retaliatory Measures Against Colombia Following Blocked Deportation Flights

U.S. President Donald Trump announced sweeping retaliatory actions against Colombia on Sunday after the country denied entry to two U.S. military deportation flights carrying around 80 Colombian migrants each.

Trump's measures include imposing tariffs on Colombian imports, starting at 25%, with an increase to 50% within a week. He also announced visa sanctions on Colombian officials and their allies, including travel bans and immediate visa revocations.

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump stated, "These measures are just the beginning. We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the criminals they forced into the United States."

The deportation flights were initially cleared for landing, but Colombian President Gustavo Petro suddenly revoked diplomatic clearances for the flights. Petro justified the suspension, claiming it was to ensure "dignified conditions" for the returning migrants, not to deny them entry.

Trump's move comes after tensions with other countries, including Mexico, which also temporarily blocked deportation flights. Colombia's decision further complicates the ongoing challenges the U.S. faces with its immigration policies.
