HAPPENING NOW! Governor Sacks SSA!
The Delta State Government has officially dismissed Favour Obakoro, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Morals and Diaspora, following allegations of fraud. The controversial figure, also known by her alias "Vida Modelo," was suspended amidst claims that she had used her government position to fraudulently obtain money from individuals.
Obakoro's suspension was confirmed by the Delta State Government in a statement issued earlier today. The accusations came to light after an activist, Vincent Otse (commonly known as VeryDarkMan), brought attention to several people who claimed to have been victims of Obakoro’s alleged fraudulent activities. According to these victims, Obakoro had promised them lucrative investment opportunities through her company, assuring them that they would receive a refund if the investments failed. However, when the victims sought refunds, Obakoro allegedly threatened them, escalating the situation.
In response to these serious allegations, the Delta State Government swiftly suspended Obakoro, ensuring that a thorough investigation would be conducted by security agencies. The suspension was announced in a statement signed by Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), who emphasized that the investigation would be carried out to determine the veracity of the claims made against her.
The statement read: "The suspension is in place to allow security agencies to conduct a proper investigation into the matter. The state government is committed to ensuring transparency and justice in this matter."
Obakoro’s suspension has attracted significant attention, given her position in the governor’s office and the nature of the allegations. The public and the victims of her alleged fraudulent schemes are now waiting to see the outcome of the investigation.
