BREAKING: Kidnappers’ Den Disguised as Hotel Demolished, Two kidnappers, Five Prostitutes Arrested

On Saturday afternoon, the newly launched security outfit, Agunechemba, recorded a breakthrough in their quest to rid Anambra State of kidnappers with the arrest of two suspected kidnappers.

The breakthrough followed the raid of a kidnappers’ hideout in a brothel at Akwu-Ukwu, Oba, in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state.

The operation, which came on the heels of a tip-off from local residents, also led to the arrest of five prostitutes in the area.

In line with the rules of the Operation Udo Ga-Achi, which was recently launched by Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the one-storey building housing the kidnappers and prostitutes was immediately demolished by the security operatives.

Although the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security, Prince Kenneth Emeakayi, was unavailable for comment, according to an operative, the raid followed credible information from concerned citizens who revealed the suspicious activities of a group of young men who had been frequenting the brothel for some time.

The operative explained: “We received information that some young men had been visiting the brothel regularly, arriving late in the evening and leaving early in the morning. We kept watch on them, and after confirming the information, our team moved in and apprehended them.”

While confirming that some members of the gang are still on the run, the security operatives vowed to track them down.
