JUST IN: Rivers State - PDP NWC Accepts Court Verdict, Affirms Ewor-led Rivers State Exco

 



The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally acknowledged and accepted the judgment of the Rivers State High Court in Suit No. PHC/2301/CS/2024. The court ruling, delivered on Monday, January 13, 2025, nullified the Ward, Local Government, and State Congresses of the PDP in Rivers State, which were held on July 27, August 10, and August 31, 2024.

In light of this development, the NWC has confirmed that the Hon. Nname Robinson Ewor-led Rivers State Executive will now assume leadership of the party's affairs in the state. This decision aligns with the court's ruling and will be conducted in full accordance with the provisions of the PDP Constitution, as amended in 2017.

The PDP in Rivers State is set to move forward with the guidance of the newly affirmed leadership.
