Bianca’s Sons Withdraw Application to Join Decided Suit

Afamefuna and Nwachukwu, sons of Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, wife of the late Biafra leader, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, have withdrawn their application to join a 2011 suit filed against Ojukwu Transport Ltd (OTL). The suit, which was decided in 2018, granted possession of properties owned by OTL in Lagos. The application had initially sought to exempt the sons from a warrant of possession executed in 2022.

Despite their withdrawal, the case is still ongoing, with a new hearing scheduled for March 10, 2025. The sons had initially claimed they were unaware of the suit and sought to join as interested parties, asserting that it would be unjust for the matter to be decided without their input, as it concerned their interests in the properties.

Meanwhile, OTL had previously reported unpaid rents and disputes regarding properties they manage. The legal battles continue as both sides seek resolution.
