Operational Training: Enugu CP Urges Officers to Remain Focused
The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu, has urged officers to be focused and committed to serve the residents of the state.
The commissioner made the call on Wednesday in Enugu while officially launching an intensive training programme for the Command's personnel.
He said that the training was in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, to ensure a highly professional police force.
"This training aims to enhance the operational capacity of officers, equipping them to effectively utilise the Command-and-Control Centre, modern security equipment and vehicles provided by the Gov. Peter Mbah, in the fight against crime in the state.
"I appreciate the IGP for initiating and approving the nationwide training and retraining of police officers; thus, recognising its importance in addressing contemporary security challenges.
"I also commend Gov. Mbah for his unwavering support and substantial contributions, which have made this training possible.
"The Command is committed to eradicating crime and fostering security in the entire Enugu State," he said.
The commissioner said that the training would cover critical areas such as arms handling, combat, and tactical maneuvers; the use of modern security equipment; effective communication and professional policing skills.
