SAD: Land Seller Commits Suicide After Selling A Plot Of Land to Three Different Buyers
Man Ends Life After Land Fraud Scheme Unravels....
A tragic incident unfolded in Ayihe Village, Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State, where Mr. Tator Ayihe took his own life after a fraudulent land transaction went awry. Ayihe ingested a lethal dose of Sniper, a highly toxic pesticide, after selling the same piece of land to three different buyers.
Sources close to the situation report that the deceived buyers gathered at the residence of the village's traditional ruler to discuss the matter. During the meeting, Ayihe excused himself, claiming he needed to get something from home. However, he visited three different shops to purchase Sniper. Returning home, he turned off his phone, isolated himself, and drank the entire bottle of the pesticide.
When the villagers were alerted to his condition, they rushed to his house, but he was found unconscious. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Ayihe was pronounced dead on arrival.
Efforts to confirm the incident with the Benue State Police Command were unsuccessful, as calls to spokesperson Catherine Anene went unanswered. The community is left in shock, grappling with the emotional and psychological impact of this tragic event.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the severe consequences that fraudulent activities can have, especially when financial pressures and deceit take a devastating toll on individuals. The village now mourns the loss of Ayihe, as the community reflects on the dangers of greed and dishonesty.
