Long before now, the Holy Ghost area in Enugu stands as a symbol of unity, a strong channel of movement. This year 2025, The construction of the Holy Ghost Bus Terminal is more than an infrastructural development, it is a great step toward modern urban development and a redefinition of public transportation in the state.


Before the arrival of Gov. Peter Mbah and this amazing project, the Holy Ghost axis was synonymous with gridlocks, unregulated street trading, tout bag snatching and pollution. That symbolizes unmet potential, crying out for a transformation. However, when Gov. Peter Mbah announced the redevelopment plan, skepticism ran high. Could this bustling nerve center truly evolve into a world-class transportation hub?


Today, as the Lord may have it, the Enugu State Bus Terminals tells its own story. Equipped with state of the art facilities, organized terrain, digital ticketing systems, and a structured loading bay, its a marvel of efficiency. Traders are now positioned to operate in designated spaces, commuters harnessed to enjoy smoother transit, and traffic congestion about to become a relic of the past.


In a statement created to our dear governor, he made it clear that terminal is not just an infrastructure but a gateway to economic growth and social order. This remarks resonated with the throngs of residents and stakeholders who are witnessing the transformation firsthand.


Nevertheless, the Bus terminal is only the beginning. It is part of a broader urban renewal agenda that aims to modernize Enugu’s transport sector, create jobs, and attract investments. The administration of Barr Peter Mbah has also emphasized the terminal’s role as a cultural gateway, welcoming visitors with the warmth and hospitality for which the state is renowned.

In a chilling incident that occurred on Wednesday, September 19, 2024, a woman's life was saved after her desperate cries for help exposed an alleged ritual attempt in an Abuja hotel.
