BBREAKING: Gunmen Kidnap Family of Three, Injure Two Others
Gunmen suspected to be bandits have kidnapped a family of three and injured two people at the Dogon Ruwa community of Wase local government area in Plateau state.
It was reported that some communities in the local government area have been under siege by terrorists for some time, with most of the inhabitants fleeing to safety due to constant attacks by these terrorists.
According to sources, the gunmen, approximately ten in number, invaded the community in the early hours of Monday. They killed a father, his wife, and their four-year-old child, shooting two others while escaping from the scene.
A community leader, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, mentioned that the attack occurred around 10:00 AM, when many inhabitants were away at their workplaces. The gunmen targeted the family and abducted them, while also shooting two others nearby.
"When they arrived, they fired gunshots into the air and went straight to the deceased’s house, abducting them at gunpoint. The family was forced into a vehicle, and the gang members followed them on motorcycles," said the community leader.
Security personnel were later deployed to the area, and local vigilantes are reportedly combing the surrounding bush to rescue the kidnapped victims.
However, the spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alfred Alabo, was unavailable for comment at the time of the report.
