BREAKING: Governor Gets New Appointment!

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has been elected as the new chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum. His election took place on Friday during an extraordinary forum meeting held in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

The theme of the forum, “Rebuilding the Lake Chad Basin: Consolidating Gains, Commitment to Peace, Cross-Border Cooperation, Security, and Sustainable Development for a Resilient Community,” focuses on tackling insecurity, poverty, and economic issues in the region.

In his acceptance speech, Buni expressed gratitude to the governors and stakeholders present, and praised President Bola Tinubu for his leadership and dedication to peace, security, and development in the region. He promised to collaborate closely with fellow governors and development partners to achieve the region's shared goals, stressing the importance of resource allocation and partnerships for sustainable development. Buni also commended the outgoing chairman, Ildjima Abdraman, for his contributions.

[VIDEO] Woman Miraculously Rescued from Yahoo-Plus Ritualist in Abuja Hotel

In a chilling incident that occurred on Wednesday, September 19, 2024, a woman's life was saved after her desperate cries for help exposed an alleged ritual attempt in an Abuja hotel. The scene unfolded at Top View Hotel, Wuse Zone 5, where hotel staff rushed to rescue the woman from a harrowing ordeal. According to witnesses, the woman's screams were heard from one of the hotel rooms, prompting hotel staff to act swiftly. When they entered the room, they found the woman completely naked, her hands and legs bound with sellotape, which also encircled her neck. Her screams had alerted the employees just in time, preventing what could have been a tragic outcome. Staff members quickly confronted the man believed to be behind the attack, accusing him of attempting to use the woman for ritual purposes.
