BREAKING: Uproar In Court As INEC Fails to Call Witness to Defend Governor’s Disputed Victory



The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has again today Thursday, 6th February 2025 failed to produce any witnesses to  defend the declaration of Senator Monday Okpebholo as winner of the disputed September 21st Governorship Election in Edo State to the shock of the Tribunal 


At the resumed hearing of the ongoing Edo Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, INEC announced through their lawyers that they will be closing their case  due to their inability to present witnesses; after tendering only three documents previously submitted by the PDP as evidence.


The development has sent shockwaves through the camp of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Edo State who were hopeful that INEC will defend their victory.

Police Clears Air on Viral Video, Urges Public to Remain Calm

The Imo State Police Command has issued an official statement to clarify the misinformation circulating in a viral video that has sparked concern among residents. The video, which shows vehicles set ablaze by individuals allegedly affiliated with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) while enforcing an unlawful sit-at-home order, is being recirculated across social media platforms. According to the police, this incident, though alarming, is not recent and has been falsely portrayed as a current event.
