...Team Storm IMT, Enugu State College of Medicine on Pre-Conference Tour:

The Enugu Tech Festival (ETF) 2025 pre-conference tour whic officially kicked-off on February 5th, 2025, stormed the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) and Enugu State College of Medicine on 12th of February 2025. Led by the Enugu State Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology, Engr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, the tour aimed to engage students and raise awareness ahead of the highly anticipated ETF in May. With the theme "Coal to Code: Envisioning Enugu as West Africa’s Silicon Valley," the festival will showcase the state’s growing tech potential and bring together industry leaders, innovators, and investors.


Engr. Ezeh highlighted the vital role of Enugu’s youth in shaping the state’s technological future, emphasizing Governor Peter Mbah’s commitment to creating an environment conducive to innovation. At IMT, Prof. Ogbodo expressed excitement about the festival, noting it would be a platform to showcase local talent. At the Enugu State College of Medicine, administrators discussed the integration of technology into healthcare, expressing eagerness to contribute to the tech ecosystem.

The tour energized students at both institutions, many of whom expressed their desire to use technology to address real-world challenges, particularly in healthcare and business. With ETF 2025 approaching, the team plans to visit more schools and engage stakeholders in building momentum for the event, set to take place from May 7-9, 2025.

The Imo State Police Command has issued an official statement to clarify the misinformation circulating in a viral video that has sparked concern among residents. The video, which shows vehicles set ablaze by individuals allegedly affiliated with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) while enforcing an unlawful sit-at-home order, is being recirculated across social media platforms. According to the police, this incident, though alarming, is not recent and has been falsely portrayed as a current event.
