The Enugu East Senatorial Zone is abuzz with excitement as the highly anticipated Echeribe Football Tournament is set to begin in just two weeks. Organized by the Kings Care Foundation, this event aims to uncover exceptional football talents within the region and provide them with the opportunity to participate in football trials in Europe.

With the support of local coordinators from various districts, including Nkanu West, Enugu North, Nkanu East, Enugu South, Enugu East, and Isi-Uzo, the tournament is expected to showcase the immense football potential of Enugu State.

The event aspires to elevate local players' skills and offer exposure to international football standards, potentially opening doors for professional careers in Europe and beyond.

In a recent press release, the organizers emphasized the significance of the tournament in raising the profile of Enugu State's football landscape and empowering local youth. The Kings Care Foundation's commitment to nurturing future football stars shines through in this initiative.

To motivate the participating teams, enticing prizes await the top performers. The champions will walk away with a prize of 500,000 naira, while the second and third-place teams will secure prizes of 300,000 naira and 200,000 naira, respectively.

The tournament will feature a competitive format with group stages and knockout rounds. Six teams representing different local governments within the Enugu East Senatorial Zone will battle it out on the prestigious Umueze Township Mini Stadium, providing a fitting backdrop for this exciting event.

The Kings Care Foundation has put in place stringent criteria to ensure fairness and transparency during team registration. Eligible teams must hail from the Enugu East Senatorial Zone and consist of players aged between 14 and 27. The registration window was open from June to July 29th, 2023, with a two-week grace period if required.

The event is expected to not only showcase exceptional football prowess but also foster leadership qualities in the next generation.

The Kings Care Foundation extends a warm invitation to the media, football enthusiasts, and the public to support this transformative initiative. The tournament promises to celebrate local talent, empower youth, and make a positive impact on the community through the beautiful game of football.
