SOLIDARITY: Chimamanda Adichie Supports Labour Party's Challenge at Presidential Election Petition Court


Renowned author Chimamanda Adichie has thrown her weight behind the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, as they challenge the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25, 2023 poll. Adichie joined the LP candidates at the Presidential Election Petition Court on Tuesday in Abuja.


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared President Tinubu as the winner of the election, but Obi and Baba-Ahmed are contesting the results and seeking redress at the Tribunal.


The court proceedings are set to resume with the adoption of written addresses by the Labour Party and Peter Obi's legal team. Adichie's presence further highlights the significance of this legal challenge and its potential impact on the nation's political landscape.
