Awgu Mayor, Hon. Pedro Nwankwo, Congratulates Senator Osita Ngwu, Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, Dr. Festus Uzor & Hon. Prince Cornelius Nnaji on Tribunal Victory and Reclaimed Mandates


In a jubilant spirit and solidarity, The Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo (Eze Ome-Ogo), has extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of his council to Senator Osita Ngwu and three other PDP House of Representatives Candidates. These leaders secured their triumph at the Electoral Petition Tribunal, firmly affirming their electoral mandates.

Eze Ome-Ogo felicitated with Senator Osita Ngwu, who represents Enugu West Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly, for a resounding victory as the tribunal upheld his win on Tuesday. Joining Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo's jubilation of triumph were Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, who contested for the Awgu/Aninri/Oji River Federal Constituency, Dr. Festus Uzor, who vied for the Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency, and Hon. Prince Cornelius Nnaji of Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency. These dedicated public servants had their mandates momentarily denied in the National Assembly Election announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the last General elections.


Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo expressed his felicitations, emphasizing the significance of this victory and thanking God for the favorable outcome. He lauded the Election Petition Tribunal for its impartial judgment, which he deemed to be in favor of the people's will.

Hon. Nwankwo conveyed his optimism about the PDP candidates, emphasizing their dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to serving the interests of Ndi Enugu. He further reiterated his council's unwavering commitment to working in collaboration with Senator Osita Ngwu, Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, and Dr. Festus Uzor to advance the welfare and progress of their shared Constituency and Ndi Enugu at large.

According to Hon. Pedro, "this historic victory not only vindicates these elected representatives but also strengthens the belief in the court's power in the electoral process to accurately reflect the true will of the people, as demonstrated in its recent pronouncements"
