SHOCKING! Redeemed Church Suspends Two Popular Pastors Over Allegations Of Homosexuality Practices
The suspension, signed by RCCG National Overseer Pastor Sunday Akande, mandated that the church's Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration undertake a thorough investigation into the allegations within two weeks. The memo underscores RCCG’s commitment to upholding its values, asserting that the church’s doctrine explicitly opposes any act of homosexuality, citing passages such as Leviticus 18:22 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 to support its stance.
Pastor AdeBello and Deacon Mayowa were directed to step down from all responsibilities pending the investigation. In a letter dated October 25 and signed by Laolu Oroge, Secretary of the RCCG Pastors Seed Family (PSF) Global Council, the church reiterated that such conduct not only contravenes church values but also represents a criminal offense. The letter further detailed the allegations against AdeBello, specifically his alleged inappropriate behavior in online conversations with teenage boys, describing these interactions as "inappropriate and unethical."
The church urged AdeBello to relinquish his responsibilities in the PSF and advised him to cooperate fully with the investigation. RCCG’s leadership stressed the importance of integrity and accountability in handling these allegations, stating that if the claims are substantiated, AdeBello’s removal from office would be permanent.
The church also highlighted its duty of care towards its members, particularly the vulnerable, and its commitment to transparency and truth in resolving such matters. RCCG called on the implicated parties to comply with the suspension order and cooperate fully, emphasizing the gravity of the allegations and their potential legal implications.
