BREAKING: Domestic Flight Carrying 53 Nigerians Clash-lands

A Max Air aircraft with 53 passengers on board was forced to crash-land at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport on Tuesday night, following a tyre burst. The aircraft, registered as 5N-MBD, had taken off from Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos and arrived in Kano at 10:57 p.m.

According to sources, the incident occurred when the plane lost its nose landing gear tyre upon landing, leading to the emergency situation. Despite the rough landing, all passengers were safely evacuated without any reported injuries.

A passenger, who wished to remain anonymous, described the scene: "Immediately after touchdown, the tire burst and caught fire. The aircraft then skidded to a halt on the runway."

Efforts to reach airline officials and the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau for comments were unsuccessful, as calls and messages to their spokespersons went unanswered.

Further details are expected as investigations continue.
