HAPPENING NOW!! Female Corps Member Stripped Naked by Security Operatives [VIDEOS]
There has been widespread outrage following the emergence of a disturbing video showing security operatives assaulting a female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State.
The victim, identified as Jennifer Edema Elohor, was seen in the viral video being flogged and stripped naked by gun-wielding men believed to be members of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, also known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group.
According to eyewitnesses, the operatives stormed a corps members’ lodge in Anambra on July 23, 2025, and accused the occupants of engaging in cybercrime activities, commonly referred to as “Yahoo Yahoo.” Despite presenting their NYSC identity cards, the corps members were subjected to inhuman treatment.
A statement by the Haven 360 Foundation, which shared the video on Facebook, strongly condemned the brutality. The group revealed that Elohor was beaten, stripped, and left bloodied while she and others were subjected to humiliating threats, sexually degrading words, and physical assault.
The Foundation wrote: “We strongly condemn the brutal assault and violation of rights of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi or ‘Agunechemba Vigilante Group’ in Anambra State. The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten, stripped naked, and left exposed and covered in blood.”
Reacting to the development, the Anambra State Government confirmed that the operatives involved have been arrested. Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Tuesday, the Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Community Security, Ken Emeakayi, described the incident as “unfortunate and unacceptable.”
Emeakayi explained that the operatives had been pursuing suspected cultists on motorcycles when they entered the compound where the corps members lived. He, however, admitted that the assault on the corps member was a grave violation.
The video has sparked nationwide condemnation, with many calling for justice and stricter regulations against the excesses of vigilante groups operating in the state.
