BREAKING: Enugu Bleeds as Two Cousins Kidnapped and Murdered
Tragedy has struck again in Enugu State as two cousins, Onyebuchi Odo and Chinwe Uroko, both from Isuike Umabor in Nsukka Local Government Area, were reportedly kidnapped on the night of Saturday, 19th October 2025.
According to community sources, the two young men, described as peaceful and hardworking, were abducted by yet-to-be-identified gunmen. In a heartbreaking twist, the lifeless body of Onyebuchi Odo was discovered early on Sunday, 20th October, along DDL Road in Nsukka, sending waves of grief and anger across the area.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred in Ehalumona town, the same area where a Catholic Reverend Father was gruesomely murdered last month. Shockingly, it was also gathered that six persons were kidnapped in the same vicinity just last week, sparking renewed fears about the rising wave of insecurity in the Nsukka axis of Enugu State.
Residents have described the recent killings as “a dark reminder of the worsening state of security” in the region, calling on the Enugu State Government and security agencies to act swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice and restore calm to the area.
As Nsukka mourns, the entire state once again laments the tragic loss of young lives — a grim sign that Enugu bleeds yet again.
