BREAKING NEWS!! Politically Motivated Falsehood on Certificate Forgery Suffers Setback as Class of 1985 Graduating Students Releases Original List

...Classmates Warn Against Defamation, Vow to Take Action In Defence of Chief Uche Nnaji’s Academic Integrity

The persistent and politically motivated allegation of certificate forgery against the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, has suffered a definitive setback, following the release of the original copy of the 1985 graduating list of the Department of Microbiology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), which clearly bears his name — “Nnaji Uchenna G.”

The authentic document, made available by members of the 1985 graduating class, contains the full list of students who completed their studies that year, alongside the names of the academic leaders who supervised their final academic session. It stands as incontrovertible evidence that Chief Nnaji duly graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka — a fact that completely dismantles the malicious forgery claims that have circulated in the public domain.

(As contained in the official departmental record and authenticated class document.)

The 1985 graduating class of the Department of Microbiology, UNN, remains one of the most outstanding in the department’s history. The set produced many notable scientists, innovators, and public figures who have continued to make significant contributions to national growth and development. Among them is Chief Uche Nnaji (Nnaji Uchenna G.), who has risen to become a key national figure and currently serves as Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology.

According to alumni sources, this set was known for its academic excellence and commitment to scientific advancement during an era of expanding national development. Their success stories continue to reflect the University of Nigeria’s legacy as a citadel of excellence and integrity.

Reacting to the rediscovery of the list, Prof. Owo Chinweuba, a senior lecturer at the University of Nigeria, reaffirmed that Chief Uche Nnaji was a bona fide student and graduate of the institution. He condemned the ongoing attempts to smear the Minister’s reputation, describing them as “a desperate act of political mischief aimed at scoring cheap points.”

He further explained that it is the university that forwards the names of its verified graduates to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for mobilisation, and that Chief Nnaji’s inclusion in the 1985 NYSC batch clearly indicates his legitimate graduation status.

Alumni of the 1985 class have also expressed disappointment over what they termed “a deliberate campaign of calumny” against their colleague, insisting that truth and evidence have now prevailed. They encouraged the public and media houses to cross-check records directly with the UNN Department of Microbiology Alumni Office or consult the 1985 Convocation Yearbook, where the list of graduates is permanently documented.

With the release of this verifiable academic record, the forgery allegation against Chief Uche Nnaji has effectively collapsed beyond redemption, reinforcing his reputation as a man of integrity, excellence, and proven academic and professional accomplishment.
