Registration is now open for the Enugu Tech Festival 2.0, slated for February 2026. The event promises a thrilling experience for innovators, startups, investors, and tech enthusiasts across Nigeria.

Organised by the Enugu State Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, led by Engr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, the festival will feature hackathons, exhibitions, pitch battles, and workshops spotlighting AI, renewable energy, and smart mobility solutions.


With its “Coal to Code” vision, the Enugu Tech Festival continues to position the state as a rising tech and innovation hub, in line with Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s drive for a digital, youth-powered economy.

  There has been widespread outrage following the emergence of a disturbing video showing security operatives assaulting a female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State. The victim, identified as  Jennifer Edema Elohor , was seen in the viral video being flogged and stripped naked by gun-wielding men believed to be members of  Operation Udo Ga-Achi , also known as the  Agunechemba Vigilante Group . According to eyewitnesses, the operatives stormed a corps members’ lodge in Anambra on July 23, 2025, and accused the occupants of engaging in cybercrime activities, commonly referred to as “Yahoo Yahoo.” Despite presenting their NYSC identity cards, the corps members were subjected to inhuman treatment. Eyewitnesses report that the collision occurred near the 9th Mile area, a bustling section of the expressway, leaving many feared dead and several others critically injured. A viral video circulating online captures the harrowing scene, showing wrecked vehicles and distressed bystanders attempting to offer assistance. The incident has caused heavy traffic congestion, as emergency responders rush to the site to provide aid and clear the roadway.
