BREAKING! Minister Reacts After Being Sacked by President Tinubu

The Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, has taken a significant step by locking her Twitter account following her dismissal by President Bola Tinubu. This action came swiftly after news of her sack was made public, indicating a possible attempt to protect her privacy and avoid unsolicited comments.

Before the dismissal, her Twitter account had been open to the public, allowing for interactions. However, checks reveal that her account is now restricted, signaling the end of her public interactions on the platform.

In a related development, Ayodele Olawande, who previously held the position of Minister of State for Youth Development, has been promoted to the role of Minister of Youth Development. His promotion follows a major reshuffling exercise conducted by President Tinubu.

The reshuffle saw six ministers lose their positions. These include the Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye; the Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John; the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman; the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo; the Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim; and the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Betta Edu.

The president also announced several new appointments. Among the new ministers are Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, who now serves as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, the new Minister of Labour and Employment. Additionally, Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu has been appointed as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, while Dr. Jumoke Oduwole now serves as the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

Other appointments include Idi Mukhtar Maiha as the Minister of Livestock Development, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as the Minister of State for Education.

President Tinubu did not stop at new appointments; he also adjusted the portfolios of ten serving ministers. These changes include the re-designation of Hon. Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu from Minister of State for Education to Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa from Minister of State for Health to Minister of Education.

Other notable changes are as follows: Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who was previously the Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, now serves as the Minister of State for Works. Hon. Abubakar Eshiokpekha Momoh, formerly the Minister of Niger Delta Development, has been reassigned as the Minister of Regional Development. Similarly, Uba Maigari Ahmadu, previously Minister of State for Steel Development, is now Minister of State for Regional Development.

Further reassignments include Dr. Doris Azoka-Anite, who now serves as the Minister of State for Finance, and Sen. John Owan Enoh, who has been re-designated as the Minister of State for Trade and Investment. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, formerly Minister of State for Police Affairs, now assumes the role of Minister of Women Affairs, and Dr. Salako Iziaq Adekunle Adeboye has been moved from Minister of State for Environment to Minister of State for Health.

These significant changes come as part of President Tinubu's broader efforts to reshape his cabinet and drive the government’s agenda forward. The reshuffle reflects Tinubu's commitment to enhancing performance and addressing the needs of various sectors under his administration.
