FGC Enugu PTA Takes Disciplinary Action Against Students on Viral Video, with Collaborative Efforts of SBMC, Alumni, Security Agencies, and Education Representatives
The School-Based Management Committee (SBMC) Comprising of the Chairman Barr Peter Chidera Aneke ph.D. MCarb, the representative of the ministry of education, School Director Principal, The PTA Chairman FGCE, Chief Dr Chinedu Mba, representative of State Education Board, Representative of the Nigeria Police , Representative of the DSS, Representative of the host Community and The President of the School Alumminai Association convened today, 20th November 2024, at the Staff Common Room to address the recent disturbing incident of mass bullying that has drawn significant public attention. The meeting reaffirmed the institution's commitment to preserving its standing as a citadel of academic and moral excellence while ensuring a safe and disciplined environment for all students.
The incident involved a group of students who participated in the physical assault of Ukachukwu Arinze Zane, an SS1student. This act of violence shocked the school community and necessitated swift and decisive action. The SBMC, chaired by Barrister Peter Chidera Aneke, Ph.D., MCArb, reviewed the report of the Internal Disciplinary Committee and unanimously decided to expel the students involved. This decision aligns with the Federal Ministry of Education Guidelines and was based on detailed findings by the school’s disciplinary Committee.
The following students were identified as participants in the mass bullying incident and have been expelled:

8. Amechi Covenant (SS3)
9. Ani Veron (SS3)
10. Idike Chibuzo (SS3)
11. Odum Clinton (SS3)
12. Amechi Ebube (SS3)
13. Uzor Francis K (SS3)
14. Akabogu Emmanuel (SS2)
15. Ukachukwu Arinze Zane (SS1) - Victim
This action underscores the school’s zero-tolerance stance on misconduct and bullying. Discipline, though stern, is essential in shaping young minds and ensuring a conducive environment for learning.
