JAMB Postpones 2025 UTME Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a last-minute postponement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration, which was initially set to begin on January 31, 2025. The new registration date is now Monday, February 3, 2025.

According to JAMB, the postponement is necessary to implement essential adjustments to the registration process. These adjustments include changes to registration templates following the recent suspension of certain law programs at selected universities. Additionally, JAMB discovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres had gained approval through deceptive means, which requires further verification and corrections.

Here are the updated registration dates:

  • UTME Registration: Monday, February 3, 2025, to Wednesday, March 5, 2025
  • Direct Entry (DE) Registration: Monday, March 10, 2025, to April 7, 2025
  • Mock-UTME Examination: Saturday, April 5, 2025
  • Main UTME Examination: Friday, April 25, to May 5, 2025

JAMB has apologized for any inconvenience this postponement may cause and assured candidates that the new registration dates will provide ample time for a smooth and transparent registration process.

In a chilling incident that occurred on Wednesday, September 19, 2024, a woman's life was saved after her desperate cries for help exposed an alleged ritual attempt in an Abuja hotel. The scene unfolded at Top View Hotel, Wuse Zone 5, where hotel staff rushed to rescue the woman from a harrowing ordeal.
