Engr. Samuel Onyinye Okoro, Special Adviser on Solid Mineral and Mining to the Governor and Chairman of MIREMCO Enugu Chapter, issued a glowing tribute to Governor Mbah, praising his visionary leadership and bold reforms that have transformed the sector in the past two years;

"Your Excellency, as you mark your second anniversary in office, I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the bold and visionary reforms you have implemented in Enugu State’s solid minerals sector. These past two years have brought unprecedented transformation, and I am proud to serve under your leadership.

Within two years, your Administration has ended illegal mining through strict enforcement, restored degraded lands, and rebuilt public trust. The establishment of MIREMCO and the activation of ESNRIC have created a stable, transparent framework that attracts serious investment and ensures government participation in mining ventures.

Dormant mineral titles have been reactivated, while strategic drilling has uncovered vast reserves of coal and limestone. These resources are now being harnessed to generate revenue, jobs, and infrastructure.

Under your guidance, Enugu secured major coal blocks through your strategic partnership with the federal government. We were able to acquire the Enugu Coal block, which has a prospect of generating revenue for the state in the next 5 years. Your international outreach has elevated Enugu’s investment profile, drawing partners from across the globe.

Under your leadership, the solid minerals sector has moved from potential to productivity while delivering real results for Ndi Enugu.

Congratulations, Your Excellency, on two transformative years of Intervention and Impact."
