Youth Wing of New United Enugu for Peter Mbah Unveils Statewide Structure, Inaugurates Zonal, LG Coordinators, BoT Members and Some Other State Executives

A prominent and well-structured youth grassroots Mobilisation Support Group, the "New United Enugu Youths for Peter Mbah formally inaugurated its State Executives, Board of Trustees (BOT), Zonal Coordinators, Local Government Coordinators at a colourful ceremony held in Enugu. As a youth wing of the parent body of "The New United Enugu Men and Women for Peter Mbah",  this significant political gathering underscored the growing mobilisation of young people for Governor Peter Mbah ahead of the 2027 elections.

The event, which took place a few days ago, attracted a large assembly of vibrant and influential youths from across the 17 local government areas of Enugu State and served as the official unveiling of the organisational structure of the youth wing of the political support group committed to the reelection of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. Leaders of the organisation noted that the newly established structure from the state level down to the ward and polling unit levels was designed to strengthen mobilisation and grassroots engagement as preparations gradually build toward the 2027 governorship election.

In his opening address, the Leader of the New United Enugu Youths for Peter Mbah, Hon. Eze Arinzechukwu Emmanuel (Bravo), warmly welcomed the former Deputy Governor of Enugu State and founder of the parent body, New United Enugu Men and Women for Peter Mbah, Hon. Barr. Cecilia Ezeilo, alongside the General Coordinator of New United Enugu for Peter Mbah, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor JP, represented by Chief Lazz Nnaedozie Odo, the Youth wing BoT Chairman, the woman leader of the parent body and other distinguished dignitaries who honoured the gathering. Hon. Eze explained that the youth coordinators and executives inaugurated at the event were painstakingly selected individuals who have demonstrated strength, credibility and capacity within their various communities. According to him, the members chosen to lead the structure of the youth wing are captains of industries and well-established individuals who have proven themselves worthy of driving the project in their respective areas. He emphasised that the group is determined to support the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah whom he described as the most dogged, proactive, effective, transformative and innovative governor Enugu State has ever had. Hon. Eze said the governor’s development strides across the state have earned him the full support of the youth and therefore deserve to be rewarded with massive votes in 2027. He further stated that the youth wing was established as a serious political structure that will mobilise the largest demographic force in society, the youths, to ensure the reelection of the governor. According to him, the organisation already has strong grassroots structures from the state level to local government, ward and polling unit representatives across the entire state. He stressed that the group will take the message of the governor’s good works to every nook and cranny of Enugu State, adding that they will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring that all votes are cast in favour of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in the next election. Hon. Eze also urged the newly inaugurated executives and coordinators to remain active, committed and proactive in discharging their responsibilities, noting that the organisation will soon commence sensitisation campaigns across the state to further mobilise the electorate. According to him, the youths of Enugu State are ready to demonstrate in 2027 that they are fully in charge of the political future of the state.

In her heartwarming speech and motherly advice to the youth wing, the founder of New United Enugu Men and Women for Peter Mbah, Hon. Barr. Cecilia Ezeilo, expressed immense gratitude and joy at the massive turnout of young people at the event. She commended the Youth Leader, Hon. Eze Arinzechukwu Emmanuel (Bravo), for his ability and leadership capacity in bringing together great youths from across Enugu State under one strong political structure. She praised him for the good work he has done in mobilising youths and strengthening the movement, describing the gathering as a clear demonstration that the young people of the state are ready to support progressive leadership. She also acknowledged and recognised the State Woman Leader of the mother body, Mrs. Joy Nkulume, popularly known as Total Joy, for her continued dedication to the organisation. Barr. Ezeilo used the opportunity to highlight the remarkable leadership qualities and development achievements of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, stating that the governor has demonstrated uncommon commitment to transforming Enugu State across various sectors. She particularly praised the governor for facilitating the concession of the Enugu International Airport, which she said will transform Enugu into a major global connecting hub where flights from Asia, North America, Europe and other African countries will transit through Enugu Air and connect through the state’s international airport. She further applauded the governor for transforming areas that were once known as kidnappers’ hideouts into thriving agricultural hubs, a development she described as both visionary and strategic for economic growth and security improvement. Barr. Ezeilo outlined the governor’s development strides in sectors such as tourism, science and technology, education, urban renewal, road infrastructure, human capital development and scholarship programmes, noting that these achievements clearly demonstrate his commitment to the progress of the state. Speaking on political alignment, she emphasised that political parties are merely platforms, stating that what truly drives development is leadership and sincerity of purpose. She explained that the governor was able to convince the entire political structure of the state to migrate to the APC because the people recognised that he meant well for them and had already demonstrated this through his developmental achievements. She further noted that political structures have evolved over time from the era of NRC and SDP to PDP and now APC, stressing that the ultimate goal has always been development and progress for the people. Barr. Ezeilo added that the APC-led federal government has already shown support to the South-East region by executing major projects even before the region formally aligned with the party. She cited projects such as the construction of the Second Niger Bridge, the reconstruction of the Ugwuonyeama axis of the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway and the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway. According to her, if the region could benefit from such projects even before formally joining the party, there is every reason to believe that even greater development will come now that Enugu State has connected itself to the centre. She urged the youths to remain committed to the cause and to continue promoting the governor’s achievements across communities, assuring them that their support will help secure a greater future for the state.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of New United Enugu Youths for Peter Mbah, Hon. Amarachineke Kingsley Ezechukwu, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the youth wing and particularly commended Hon. Eze Arinzechukwu Emmanuel for organising and mobilising the youths in such an impressive manner. He stated that he was deeply impressed by the strength and unity demonstrated by the youths of Enugu State at the event. He also acknowledged the efforts and leadership of the former Deputy Governor, Hon. Barr. Cecilia Ezeilo, whose guidance and influence he said have helped strengthen the movement. The BOT Chairman praised Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his development strides which he said are sweeping across the entire state and transforming Enugu into a modern and progressive society. According to him, the governor’s achievements have made it necessary for all well-meaning youths to rally behind him in order to ensure the continuity of his administration beyond 2027. He assured members of the organisation that as the driver of the Board of Trustees, he will commit his maximum support toward the success of the movement. He further emphasised that he is not expecting any personal gain from the group but is rather willing to make sacrifices to ensure that the objective of the organisation, which is the reelection of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in 2027, is fully achieved.

The Zonal Coordinator of Enugu North Zone of New United Enugu Youths for Peter Mbah, **His Royal Highness, Igwe Igbokwe Christian Ugochukwu**, also known as **Igwe Ugochinyere I of the Nsukka Diocesan CYON** and **Igwe Agunecheibe IV of the Onitsha Provincial CYON**, who also serves as the **Secretary of the Onitsha Provincial CYON** comprising nine dioceses including Nsukka, Enugu, Awgu, Abakaliki, Awka, Nnewi, Aguleri, Ekwulobia and Onitsha, assured the gathering of the unwavering support of Catholic youths for the movement. In his remarks, he commended the leadership of the group and affirmed that the entire body of **CYONites in Nsukka and across the province stands solidly with the group**, stressing that there is nothing to worry about as the youths are ready to throw their full weight behind the organisation and support the collective mission of mobilising young people in the state.

The General Secretary of New United Enugu Youths for Peter Mbah, **Kenneth Nnaemeka Eze**, who also doubles as the Youth Secretary of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, commended the leadership of the group and the overwhelming unity displayed by the youths during the inauguration. He particularly praised the group leader, **Hon. Eze Arinzechukwu Emmanuel**, for his vision and dedication in bringing together vibrant and purposeful youths across Enugu State under one platform to support good governance. He also expressed appreciation to the former Deputy Governor of Enugu State, **Hon. Barr. Cecilia Ezeilo**, for her motherly guidance and continuous encouragement to the youth movement. Kenneth Nnaemeka Eze noted that as Christian youths, they are committed to promoting peace, unity, discipline and responsible leadership while supporting the developmental strides of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. He urged members of the group to remain steadfast, prayerful and committed to the collective goal of mobilising young people across the state toward sustaining progress and ensuring a brighter future for Enugu State.

Izuchukwu Eze Vampee (Enugu North Senatorial Zone), Amarachineke Kingsley Ezechukwu (Enugu West Senatorial Zone), Onah Joseph Onyemaechi JP (Enugu North Senatorial Zone), Dr. Ilodibe Onoja from Igboeze North, Onovo Jennifer JP, Benjamin Chiemezie Obodoechina, Prince Chukwuemeka Nnaji, Nwodo Emmanuel Chizitelu, Obiora Emeka Ogbonna, Barr. Olisa Charles Udeonu from Awgu, and Christian Noble Chiedozie.

The State officers of New United Enugu Youths for Peter Mbah include Aro Okechukwu Jeffrichies who serves as the State Organising Secretary, Ferdinard Nwankwo Uchenna as State Publicity Secretary, Asogwa Chinedu as State Treasurer, Oshine Simeon Ejiofor as State Assistant Secretary, Ugwu Kingsley Chigozie as State Director of Strategy, Comrade Ude Darlington Ude as Contact and Mobilisation Officer, Omasirichukwu Christopher as Financial Secretary, Kingsley Chinach as Logistics and Transport Officer, Ohabuenyi Emelia Amarachi as State Entertainment and Welfare Officer, and Ogbodo Dikanna Francis as Assistant Publicity Secretary.

The Zonal Coordinators include Ngwu Chikwado Benneth who also serves as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the former Chairman of Enugu North and who was inaugurated as Zonal Coordinator for Enugu East Senatorial Zone, and Aneke Prince Chukwudubem who serves as Zonal Coordinator for Enugu North Senatorial Zone, while the group’s Zonal Secretaries are Nnamani Alex, Zonal Secretary East  zone, Agbo Kenneth Nnaemeka

Local Government Youth Coordinators of Enugu West Senatorial Zone include Celestine Uzor who serves as Coordinator for Oji River Local Government Area, Nwafor James who serves as Coordinator for Awgu Local Government Area, Ugwu Pascal who serves as Coordinator for Udi Local Government Area, and Joshua Onyeabor who serves as Coordinator for Aniri Local Government Area, Nnamani Charles Chukwudi, Nkanu West LGA Coordinator, Hon. Other local government youth coordinators include Igbokwe Christian Ugochukwu who serves as Coordinator for Nsukka Local Government Area and Chisom Arinze Odo who serves as Youth Coordinator for Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area.

Other Local Government Coordinators also inaugurated during the event include Engr. Ugwu Ejike from, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Okpe Martin Emeka, Udenu Local Government Area, Ugwu Christian Nnabuchi, Nsukka Local Government Area, Eruka Nick Jnr Chiemerie from Ozalla Ward in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area and Windy Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area.

The Hausa community youth coordinators within the organisation include Mohammed Alhassan who serves as the State Coordinator and Mohammed Abdul Aminu who serves as Secretary.

Other dignitaries from the mother body, New United Enugu State, who graced the event include Hon. Engr. Chukwudi Splendor Ihudiebube who serves as the State Secretary of New United, Hon. Mrs. Joy Nkulume popularly known as Total Joy, Hon. Steve Anibueze popularly known as APC 001 Ezeagu, Hon. JoyFrancis Ajala who serves as State Treasurer of New United, and Chief Lazz Nnaedozie Odo who is the Coordinator of Nkanu East and Chairman of all 17 Male Coordinators,Comrade Kenechukwu Aneke, Member of Board of Trustees who also doubles as Vice President of NANS, National Affairs. Chief Lazz Nnaedozie Odo represented the State General Coordinator of the parent organisation, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor JP, at the event. The ceremony ended on a high note as members of the youth wing pledged their unwavering commitment to mobilising massive grassroots support across Enugu State in preparation for the 2027 governorship election.
