"NDC Enugu Welcomes Obidient, Kwankwaso Supporters, Targets Enugu Victory"
The leadership of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Enugu State Chapter, led by Dr. Johnpaul Anih, has welcomed distinguished sons and daughters of the state, as well as others, into the party, especially members of the Obidient Movement and Kwankwaso’s movement, popularly known as the Obi-Kwankwaso Movement.
In a statement signed by the State Secretary and Publicity Secretary of the party, Dr. Sebastine Chukwuebuka Okafor and Mr. Emma Ugwueze, and made available to newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday, the party described their entrance as one that will strengthen its capacity to win elections in the state.
The statement noted that notable personalities such as Sen. Gil Nnaji, Chief Chinyeaka Ohaa, Princess Adaogbu, and Chief John Nwokeabia, among others, are key figures needed to take over the state from the APC.
It further stated that the party is ready to work with individuals, groups, and organizations for electoral success, from the State Assembly to the presidency, expressing confidence in its growing team.
The leadership also called on the general public to join the party as the registration deadline approaches.
The statement reads:
“The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Enugu State Chapter, warmly welcomes all new members into the party. Your decision to identify with this movement at this critical time reflects a shared desire for purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and people-oriented policies. The increasing influx of credible individuals and grassroots supporters into our party is a clear indication that Ndi Enugu are ready for a new direction.
We are delighted to receive notable sons and daughters from the Obidient Movement into our great party in the state. With respected leaders such as Sen. Gil Nnaji, Chief Chinyeaka Ohaa, Princess Adaogbu, and Chief John Nwokeabia joining our fold, the NDC is further strengthened with the capacity to win elections and emerge as a formidable political force in Enugu State. We are proud to be part of this unfolding chapter in the political history of our state.
We also appreciate the support and alignment of the Obidient Movement, the Kwankwaso Movement, and the emerging Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, whose members share our vision for a better Enugu.
