In a bid to ensure that rural farmers in Enugu State are well equipped and trained, the Enugu State Agricultural Development Programme (ENADEP) had commenced their maiden annual Post Farming Season Sensitization Programme. The event which took place in Adada Hall, Nsukka LGA and in Udenu LGA Secretariat, Obollo Afor respectively on 2nd October, 2024 was the first of its kind in the State. This was the brainchild of the Programme Manager of ENADEP Prof Ogbonna Onyeisi who initiated this project to prepare the rural farmers on the various means, technicalities and mode of harvesting and as well processing and safeguarding their Agricultural products. In a distressing video making rounds on social media platforms, particularly WhatsApp, students can be seen working together to lift the vehicle in a desperate attempt to retrieve the lifeless body of the victim, who had been trapped underneath.
